Colorado Springs, Colo. (December 5, 2024)—USA Ultimate announced today the 54 athletes that have been selected to represent the United States in the three elite divisions at the 2025 WFDF World Beach Ultimate Championships.
The three initial 18-player rosters for the mixed, open and women’s division teams were chosen by U.S. National Team coaches following a pair tryouts last month. All totaled, 180 players took to the sand to compete for a spot on Team USA after more than 1,000 players applied for consideration.
Of the 54 players selected, more than half are returning from the 2023 delegation that won a pair of world titles in the open and women’s divisions and a bronze medal in the mixed division. The open team features 11 returnees, while the mixed and women’s squads each return eight players.
Occurring every two years, the 2025 edition will take place next November in the Algarve region of Portugal.
Additional U.S. National Team rosters for any applicable masters divisions will later be announced by USA Ultimate.
